The Club is pleased to announce that it has secured the lease on Millbrook Lake which lies just to the east of Marston Pit . The lake will not officially open until safety rings have been installed and some peg clearing has taken place. The lake itself is a really well looked after water which goes to depths of up to 30ft in places and is stocked with a variety of species.
New rules for the lake are being discussed at the moment and will be published soon ,as will the date that the lake is to be opened up so watch the web site for details.
Any existing members of the old club ( Marston Group) will need to contact Mr Clarke regarding there membership and the cross over to Ampthill AC.
If anyone wants more info please call Dick Ward on 01525 751850 or Martin Ward on 07711030871 or any of the club committee members and we will try to give you more details.
Please be aware that the gate from the main road will be locked and must be kept locked at all times, this is a stipulation of the land agents and must strictly be adhered to, anyone leaving gate open for any reason other than access will have club card endorsed.
Also please be mindfull of the Bungalow residents and keep noise to a minimum when entering lake site. Park in the designated area only which is on the right hand side where info board is and not on the hardstanding area through the second gate as the site is shared with the farmer and he has 24 hr access to the site.
Lastly we as a club would like to say thanks to the Marston Group for being patrons of the lake for many years and leaving us with a healthy well stocked water, which we as a well established club will take the baton and hopefully carry the legacy on into the future and make it a top water to add to our existing portfolio of great waters.
AAC Committee.

This was the safety rope at the Ressi last week. Some bright spark thought it was funny to take the rope off the life ring and tangle it all up then leave it on the floor !!!!!!! Lets hope they are not the ones who need rescuing if they fall in.
If anyone see’s anyone messing with them please call a committee member or the head bailiff and if possible take pics and send to club.
Chances are it was not anglers but other parties in the park , please be on the lookout for anyone tampering with safety equipment

Terrapin Alert one lucky angler had the shock of his life today when he landed a PB terrapin from Broggie Lagoon. Unfortunately he isn’t an avid reptile keeper and the club currently don’t have a terrapin cup so he carefully put it back in Lagoon. As terrapins go it was definitely worthy of a trophy but the club thinks that it would be a lot better to re home Terry to a new home where people can admire his beautiful markings so if any one else is lucky enough to catch Terry then could they please call Martin Ward from the committee (number on club book) and he will take him (Terry) to a new home . (pop him in a bucket of water first please) and don’t worry he will not be harmed in any way , we as a club love all amphibious creatures . (just not in our lakes) Thanks
