WESTMINSTER POOL
Ampthill Park, Woburn Street, Ampthill.
Originally built by the monks from Ampthill Castle for the fish, this venue is about 1/4 of an acre in size. The lake is set just outside of Amphill Park on the A5O7 Road with access via the track from the main Ampthill Park car park. It’s our only lake to include Catfish, with some catches up to 4Olb. The pool also contains Ghost Carp, Common Carp, Crucian Carp, Mirror Carp, Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bream and Tench.
There are 12 pegs around the lake with plenty of marginal reeds and water lillies with depths of the lake varying from approximatly 2ft to 6ft. There is a night fishing ban on the lake, no bivvies or brolly tents, No keepnets and you must have a landing net to fish this water. You must use Barbless & Micro-Barbed hooks only and no braided line.
Access to the lake is from the main car park and by foot only. No parking on road adjacent to pool.
All rubbish must be taken away with you.
