Also known as ‘The Ressy’ this is our No.1 pleasure venue, it is approx 1 acre in size. It was built by the monks from Ampthill Castle and is set in the idyllic surroundings of Ampthill Park. The water is spring fed from the hill and contains hundreds of Carp, which average from 1lb up to the 6-8lb mark with some even up to 2Olb. Recent matches have produced some very big Perch which have been caught up to 4lb 12oz. The water also contains Bream, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Goldfish, Crucian Carp, Chub and Gudgeon.

There are about 21 pegs around the lake with plenty of marginal reeds and water lillies with depths of the lake varying from approximatly 2ft to 6ft. There is a night fishing ban on the lake, no bivvies or brolly tents, no keepnets and you must have a landing net to fish this lake. Barbless & Micro-Barbed hooks only.
